My name is Risa and I am currently a senior in high school. Over the course of my studies, I have found a growing love and appreciation for STEM subjects, specifically calculus, physics, and computer science. I love working in my school’s STEM lab and problem-solving through engineering. I have been wondering what STEM-related career will suit me best, but it’s hard when there are jobs that I don’t even know exist!  I decided to research different career options. Plus, I wanted to see if any of the stereotypes regarding women in STEM fields were true. I began to interview women whose paths might have once been similar to my own, to better understand how they made their own choices. By blogging about these interviews, I hope to discover a path for my own future in a STEM career.
